Welcome to my new business, DKDTech. I have been doing some of this stuff for family and friends for some time now and I have let myself be talked into offering these services for hire. Now, I have never made any profit on my repair and data rescue service or any on my marriage service. They have been just a past time for me, something to keep my brain in the right place, never thought of making it my full time gig. So I will give this a try for a awhile and see how it goes.

As to the courier service, a friend makes quite a bit of money running packages for various people and companies needing to keep the chain of possession on said package clear; He was relaying to me that there is plenty of room for others in the field and suggested I take it up, give me something to do, so I don’t rot in front of the computer and thus DKDcourier.

Now you will see the prices on most of the services is negotiable cash or barter, of the two I prefer barter. You have something I need, I have a service you need, we can deal. Food( beef, pork, can goods, yep, even chickens), hardware, computer parts, metal for the shop, you name it, I will dicker for it, cash is last on the list, except for the courier service, that needs to be cash up front.

Now as to my credentials, I have some schooling in electronics, but as with everything I know, I taught myself, with plenty of real world experience, been dabbling in electronic since I was 8, built my first crystal set from scratch, been a lifelong love affair since.

Took to computers in the early 70′s and got on arpanet back in the 80′s, just after it changed over to TCP/IP from NCP, by social engineering my way to a number in the University of Minnesota’s modem closet. Surfed the net with a Gopher client and trumpet, 1984 I believe, not to mention all the BBSs I was on. In those early days, if you where heavy into the scene, you may remember the exploits of a certain pirate and hacker by the handle of Freebooter, yes sir, that is me. Don’t use that handle much any more, but you may recognize my zenlogic moniker.

Been Blacksmithing and messing with bladesmithing and the other metals since the early 80′s, when I was introduced to blacksmithing by a good man; name of Larry Weeks, while I was working at the living history museum, Murphy’s Landing in Shakopee.

Been doing wood working and small engine repair since high school, and do it damn good. Made my first piece of furniture, a bookcase in 11th grade and totally overhauled a chainsaw when I was 13. Been doing my own repairs since then, except for the big automobile ones, because I haven’t the room, say, like for pulling a engine on a car.

Yes, I may not have the degrees or certificates, although, I have some 50 or 60 credits from various institutions of higher learning, I do have the know how and knowledge to do most anything. By gum, as far as networking and computers go, I can make one stand and up sing and then recite the alphabet backwards and do a tap dance for an encore. I can find any thing on the net and recover most anything from a dead drive. If I can’t do it, It can’t be done. Period.

Well, there it is; any questions at all, just ask.

Take a look-see Below, and if anything takes your fancy, give me a email and we will give it a good going over and see what we can come it with. Thank you for your time, Edward Karn.
